violet's spring break

Violet had a really fun vacation with Grandma and Grandpa (see the smiles in yesterday's photos for proof)! I hate that I feel guilty for admitting that it was a week long trip (it's hard to shake off the mom-guilt from worrying about other people judging me for actually being okay with V being gone for that long). But it was a great, restful time for Mike and I. We missed her dearly of course, but Violet had such an amazing time that it made things easier.

I mean, Grandma and Grandpa have a kitchen floor that's actually clean enough to lie down on, which is a novelty for her.

The parade continues!

I tell ya, the library there has quite the array of toys.

And they got out the play-doh of course. And she wanted to make the alphabet... of course.

I mean, it's like her favorite song these days. Just listen to how well she plays it on the keyboard while she sings along.

Maybe soon Elmo can sing along.

Before she left to visit Grandpa and Grandma, Violet kept talking about how she was going to "FEED DA DUCKS BREAD". Turns out they were pretty much starving, based on how hilariously aggressive they were.

She's quite the loved little girl. Everyone had a great time!

Anyone who judges you is probably just jealous that you have such an awesome arrangement! I think it's so great that Violet gets to spend quality time with her grandparents. What great memories she will have with them! It is also awesome for you and Mike. I know if we had such an offer, we would snap it up in a heartbeat.

You have absolutely no reason to feel guilty! It's great for the Grandparents to be able to spend time with Violet, great for Violet to spend time with her Grandparents, and great for you and Mike to have free time together. It's a win-win-win situation for all!
