When Violet was gone on the aforementioned week vacation to Grandma & Grandpa's house, Mike and I took the opportunity to squeeze in all the breakfast/lunch/dinner dates we'd been missing out on for the past several weeks or so! We enjoyed some lovely meals here and there around Ann Arbor.
On my actual birthday, we took advantage of the free meal and tried out a place we wouldn't otherwise go to- Weber's, which is kind of this old Ann Arbor classic place. I'd never been before, and turns out it was delightful. Yes, delightful.
I mean, not only did we get a few different courses of wonderful food...
...but our table was pretty much its own tiny room, complete with curtains. Curtains!
As you can see, I drank the water. Oh, and got a delicious steak.
We hit up Dunkin Donuts another day for some sweet fatty goodness. It is this small, exclusive local cafe that most of you have probably never heard of. After a donut and 2 bagels and a croissant between the two of us, we picked up a couple Cokes to smuggle into a movie later. A movie, people! It's like we were unhooked from a leash or something!
Salt fills Mike with joy. And sodium.
A different day, we went to Zingerman's Roadhouse. We'd only been there once for a wedding rehearsal dinner, and I was excited to repeat the yumminess of that day.
And of course we had to get a Jolly Pumpkin visit in too.
Here you see the double whammy of the South Pacific pizza and truffle fries. YOU GUYS. The food is SO GOOD.
Anywho, that concluded our tour of Ann Arbor restaurants! We'll resume the tour, oh, maybe next year when Violet takes another vacation!
